Yurii, Wallchain’s co-founder, has recently had a great AMA session with whateverman & friends on X. We are publishing an abridged text version focusing on Yuri's answers, as we believe they may be useful to many. Of course, don't forget to listen to the full audio version.
Q: Yurii, what is going on?
A: gQuack, everyone. Great to be here. Too many things going on, man.
A new campaign was launched with idOS yesterday. It was such a burst of new creators, activity, and engagement from them. We are getting the numbers ready and getting more case studies and numbers to be published in the upcoming weeks.
But basically, having great launches and my DMs are flooded with new requests, and we’re planning to launch more campaigns. But the due diligence process is tough. So we want to bring the best campaigns to Walchin, basically, and cooking some new product lines. So AttentionFi is not only about public mindshare leaderboards and mindshare points, quacks, and so on.
Q: You just added a Limitless case. Congrats. Limitless is first to get the 20 million pre-sale on Kaito. That was huge.
A: We’ve worked with Limitless since the 7th of July, and it's been like one of the biggest InfoFi campaigns ever. More than 6,500 people participated. 6,500 people, which is massive. And more people are joining. But they started from new epoch. New season from September 22nd. So if you didn't participate or you participated before, you have a new chance. It starts on a new page from September 22nd, and there is still a ton of time to get in. To get into the leaderboard.
Q: How can one increase their X score? Just a couple of tips for people who are trying to increase their score. What are some of the things that you guys look at?
A: For X score, it's mostly based on the quality of your followers, not just how many smart followers you have, but how smart each of your followers is. For example, someone may have 100 smart followers.
If I follow them, they have 101 smart followers, one more. But if not me, but Vitalik Buterin follows them, they also have one more smart follower, 101. But the impact of Vitalik Buterin is significantly different. So we analyze how smart each smart follower is, and it reflects in the X score. To increase X score, obviously, you need to have more smart followers, and to get more smart followers, you need to first achieve the two points. Firstly, you need more people to see your profile on X, and secondly you need to convert them.
They see a profile, you need them to follow you. And how to make people see your profile? First, you need to be active on X. You need to be active on other platforms, Discord and Telegram.
And make sure to put backlinks to Twitter from Discord and Telegram. Because one of the strongest connections you make is actually on Telegram in private messages and private discussions, you can build real relationships with people there. You have a deal on Telegram, and they open your Telegram profile description. People do it so that not only you see your profile description, a lot of other people also check it. When they see you in some chat and you're sharing some alpha on the chat, they may want to hear more from you and follow you on X.
And if they don't find your X profile on your Telegram description, then, you lose a follower, you lose a smart follower every day in this way if you are active on Telegram. So add your link to your X on your Telegram profile as well as on your Discord. So you convert people from other platforms to follow you, and once they open your Twitter, make sure to look legit. Make sure to look like you believe in something, and that something is legit as well. And you can be valuable to people in the long run if you post some really insightful posts, not only farming posts.
So it's valuable for people to follow you and get information from you.
Q: How to get more mindshare?
A: To earn mindshare, you need to make content that hits. And for some leaderboards like Apecoin, you also need to have some onchain components like holding BAYC. It gives you boost multipliers.
For example, Avantis was actually in the whole infofi the first mineshielder board to combine social and onchain. If there was some volume, those people got a multiplier to improve their mindshare. And we will have more. We've seen demand, and we'll launch more projects that provide a boost multiplier for onchain activities.
That's how you earn. And by having significant onchain activity as a small account, it gives you a boost. So you get to the top of the leaderboard, you can even be a small account. Other accounts notice you, follow you, and follow your actions. And that's one more opportunity for small accounts to grow faster than usual because you get to the top of the board, you get noticed, you get followed, and you convert your onchain kind of power to your social network.
Q: How about small accounts? Can small accounts win? Do they matter?
A: A few things here. So firstly, small accounts definitely matter, but there are different approaches to tackle this challenge. And the challenge here is that there are thousands, actually hundreds of thousands of small accounts.
And you can't put hundreds of thousands of small accounts into the top 100. So the algo has to pick which small accounts to put into the top 100. And if there is a big account behaving similarly to a small account, posting similar content with similar consistency, it doesn't mean that the small account has to be above it in this way. If it's a similar pattern for content, a big account is posting similar to a small account. Big account wins because it's a big account; it has more influence.
So small accounts have to win in some other means, in some other ways, and we provide those opportunities. Such opportunities are firstly having volume on the product, which gives you a boost in the mindshare and gives you the ability to grow on the leaderboard. It's not on every leaderboard, but we have social rewards and more of them are coming. That's the first point. Second point, consistency.
If you're consistently posting about the project, you have more chances, you have more days to earn to accumulate mindshare. And even if a big account comes in and is making a few posts, yes, they earn significant mindshare for like 5 posts compared to 5 posts of a small account. But if a small account is consistent, they have earned more mindshare.
That's the second point. And the third point is how your content hits the algo. If it goes viral and gets organic significant engagement, you earn more mind share for it.
That's basically it. Small accounts matter means that there are opportunities for small accounts to outperform bigger accounts with other advantages. But it doesn't mean that the same pattern, behavior, and content from small accounts should be valued more than similar content and performance from big accounts.
